Exciting news! Cenergi and Genting Plantations are partnering to build a 1.2 MW biogas power plant at Genting Ayer Item Palm Oil Mill, Ayer Hitam, Johor by utilising biogas generated from palm oil mill effluents (POME). Set to begin operations in 2026, this plant will inject green electricity into the grid and avoid approximately between 20,000 to 25,000 tCO2e emissions annually — which equals to removing approximately 5,000 cars off the road annually. We’re dedicated to reduce carbon footprint with our partners and look forward to develop more strategic partnerships together.
