Zainul Rahim has some 43 years of experience in Upstream Oil and Gas. During his tenure in Royal Dutch Shell, he sat on the boards of 16 Oil and Gas companies, and was director, trustee, and member of various Non-Governmental Organisations including the Society of Petroleum Engineers AsiaPac, Business Council for Sustainable Development Malaysia and the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was also formerly an Adviser of Sime Darby’s Energy & Utilities Division, a Board member of Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd, Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd, UKM Holdings Sdn Bhd and redT Energy Plc.
He is currently a Non-Executive Chairman of Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd, non-executive Chairman of Malaysian Dutch Business Council and also Non-Executive Director of Standard Chartered Saadiq Berhad.
Zainul Rahim holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the University of Western Australia.
Ahmad Jauhari has over 25 years of experience in Energy and Power. He joined Malakoff in 1994 as its Chief Executive Officer and spearheaded its growth to become Malaysia’s leading Independent Power Producer (IPP). He also served as the Managing Director of Malaysian Airlines from 2011 to 2015 and has held directorships in several of Malaysia’s leading companies, including MMC, Sapura Resources and Time Engineering. He joined Cenergi as Executive Director since October 2015. He is currently serving as a Chairman of Minconsult Sdn. Bhd and sitting on the board of Taliworks Corporation Berhad, Sapura Resources Berhad, Proton Holdings Berhad, Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn. Bhd, DRB-HICOM Defence Technologies Sdn. Bhd and Composites Technology Research Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.
Ahmad Jauhari holds a BSc (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Nottingham and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Business Administration from the same institution.
Firdaus rejoined Khazanah in 2022 after stints in Tenaga Nasional Berhad’s New Energy Division and Korean conglomerate SK Group. Prior to that, he was at Macquarie Group. In Khazanah, he is currently a Director in Investments and leads the Sentinel, Tourism and Iskandar teams.
He is an experienced management, investment, M&A/corporate finance, strategy and equity research professional across both public and private equity markets and has had exposure across various sectors including renewable energy, technology, infrastructure, logistics, agrifood and aviation.
Firdaus graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with B.Sc in Actuarial Science, B.A in Finance and B.A in Economics.
Elaine has over 10 years of experience in Corporate and Business Finance. She is currently a Senior Vice President in the Investments division, of Khazanah Nasional Berhad and was previously from PwC. Her experience spanned multiple industries such as energy and power, infrastructure, automotive, property and financial services.
Elaine holds a BSc. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. She is an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) through the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
Asrul Rahim is currently a Director in the Investments division of Khazanah Nasional Berhad. His work experience spanned multiple industries including infrastructure, healthcare and automotive.
Asrul started his career with PWC in London focusing on assurance practice covering clients in broad industries portfolio including energy, property, and consumer retail, and later joined PwC Capital in KL specializing in corporate finance advisory. He was also a General Manager with DRB-HICOM Berhad heading its corporate strategy and business development functions. Currently, besides Cenergi SEA Berhad, Asrul sits on the Boards of UEM Group Berhad, UEM Edgenta Berhad, KLIA Aeropolis Sdn Bhd and Malaysia Airports Niaga Sdn Bhd.
Asrul is also a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and holds a BSc. in Accounting and Finance (First Class Honors) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom.
