Kuala Lumpur, 2 March – Cenergi SEA Sdn Bhd (“Cenergi”),today announced the appointment of Hairol Azizi Tajudin as its new Group Chief Executive Officer effective 2 March 2020. Hairol, who replaces Ernest Navaratnam, brings over 25 years of experience in the energy industry.
Ahmad Jauhari Yahya, Executive Director of Cenergi said, “Cenergi has gone through a period of strong growth under Ernest’s leadership. We want to thank him for his effort in executing the company’s vision and for his passion in sustainable energy. We welcome Hairol’s experience and leadership to Cenergi. We believe Hairol’s track record as well as his capabilities will further strengthen our presence in the market”.
Hairol was previously the Senior Vice President for Ventures and Business Transformation Division at Malakoff Corporation Berhad in which he contributed significantly to Malakoff’s renewable energy strategies, business transformation, innovation and project development. Prior to that he has taken leadership roles as plant manager, head of engineering and head of department in various functions i.e. operation and maintenance, business development and project development in the power, water and renewable energy sectors.

Hairol holds a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) in Electrical, Electronic and Systems Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
Cenergi also welcomes its new Group Chief Financial Officer, Vinie Chong Pui Ling. Vinie, whose appointment was effective on 3 February 2020, holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from The University of Melbourne, Australia. She brings over 20 years of experience in various spectrum in finance including strategic planning, financial management, corporate finance, merger and acquisition, and investor relations. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a member of Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) Australia.
