Ir. Kwok Yew Hoe

Group Chief Executive Officer

Ir. Kwok Yew Hoe was appointed as the Group Chief Executive Officer of Cenergi SEA Berhad, effective 1 May 2025. He joined the company in September 2022 and has since played a key role in shaping its strategic growth and direction. As GCEO, he leads the overall operations of the company, driving innovation and expansion across all business segments.

Prior to his appointment, Ir. Kwok served as Chief Business Development Officer, where he played a pivotal role in expanding Cenergi’s renewable energy portfolio. His leadership was instrumental in the development of the company’s first BioCNG project and the successful implementation of key solar deployment initiatives, including participation in the Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP). He also spearheaded the development of Malaysia’s first Technology-Based Carbon Credits generated from a Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) Biogas Plant, contributing to the advancement of a more sustainable palm oil industry.

With more than 26 years of experience, Ir. Kwok’s expertise spans multiple industries and corporate structures, particularly in distributed power generation, utilities, and oil & gas. Prior to joining Cenergi, he spent over two decades at Sime Darby, where he held various leadership positions in business unit management, field services, engineering, and business development.

Ir. Kwok holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Hons.) from the University of Malaya and an MBA from Multimedia University. He is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a Corporate Member and Council Member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM).

Eric Wong Hong Yee

Chief Technical Officer

Eric Wong Hong Yee is the Chief Technical Officer of Cenergi SEA Berhad, where he oversees the company’s technical strategy and manages projects related to biogas, biomethane, biomass, small hydro, solar energy, and energy efficiency. His focus is on leading project execution to support the rapid growth of Cenergi.

Eric joined Cenergi in August 2012 and has over 25 years of experience in construction and renewable energy. He has played a crucial role in delivering large-scale renewable energy projects. Under his leadership, Cenergi has expanded its biogas and solar capacity, notably with the development of a 5.5MW biogas power plant in Jerantut, which is recognized as the largest grid-connected POME biogas power plant in Malaysia. To date, he has supervised the construction of more than 20 biogas plants, over 30 solar projects, and one small hydro project.

Prior to joining Cenergi, Eric worked with Rhodia Energy Services and AES AgriVerde, where he specialised in biogas and Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects.

He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from South Dakota State University, USA.

Shamsuddin Sulaiman

Chief Operating Officer

Shamsuddin Sulaiman is the Chief Operating Officer of Cenergi SEA Berhad, where he oversees business operations and plant management across various sectors, including biogas, biomass, solar, small hydro, and energy efficiency projects. His primary focus is on enhancing operational performance and improving asset efficiency to support the company’s growth.

With over 15 years of experience in renewable energy and asset management, Shamsuddin has played a key role in optimizing Cenergi’s biogas operations and enhancing the capacity and efficiency of its operating assets. He has led numerous initiatives to improve the reliability of Cenergi’s energy assets.

Before joining Cenergi, Shamsuddin started his career in Building Services Management at Menara Kuala Lumpur Sdn Bhd and later at Felda Palm Industries Sdn Bhd. In 2008, he transitioned to renewable energy, focusing on biogas-to-flare and biogas-to-grid projects under the Feed-in Tariff scheme.

His extensive experience in facility management and renewable energy has been instrumental in strengthening Cenergi’s operational capabilities.

Shamsuddin holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Hons.) from University of Malaya.

Ng Wei Pin

Financial Controller, Group Finance

Ng Wei Pin is the Financial Controller of Group Finance at Cenergi SEA Berhad, where he oversees the company’s financial management, reporting, and strategic planning. His role is to ensure strong financial governance that supports Cenergi’s growth through effective financial planning.

Ng Wei Pin joined Cenergi in November 2022 and brings over 20 years of experience in finance, auditing, and operations. He started his career as an auditor at Deloitte, where he gained exposure to multiple industries, including steel manufacturing, marketing and distribution, IT infrastructure services, shipping, freight forwarding, and logistics.

After six years in auditing, he transitioned to the automotive industry, where he held senior management roles overseeing finance and operations across Malaysia and the ASEAN markets. In these positions, he successfully led and managed financial and operational functions related to importation, manufacturing, marketing, and distribution.

Ng Wei Pin holds a degree in Finance and Accounting from University of Queensland, Australia. He is a Fellow Member of CPA Australia and a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Noorhayati Noor

Senior General Manager, Human Capital Management & Corporate Services

Noorhayati Noor joined Cenergi SEA Berhad in July 2022 and currently serves as the Senior General Manager of Human Capital Management and Corporate Services. In this role, she oversees Human Capital Management, Corporate Affairs, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, and Risk Management, ensuring that these functions align with Cenergi’s long-term growth objectives.

With over 28 years of experience in human resource management, Noorhayati specialises in both strategic and operational HR functions, including compensation and benefits, performance management, talent acquisition and HR management post-merger and acquisition.

Before joining Cenergi, she held Senior HR roles at Texas Instruments Malaysia, Western Digital Malaysia, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, and Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera, where she was actively involved in HR management for new business setups, and workforce transformation.

Noorhayati holds a degree in Education TESL (Hons.) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and an MBA from Universiti Sains Malaysia.
