KUALA LUMPUR: Authorised distributor of INNIO’s Jenbacher engines in Malaysia, UMW Industrial Power Services (UIPS) Sdn Bhd, wholly-owned subsidiary company of UMW Group, have secured a five-year maintenance service agreement (MSA) worth RM12 million with Cenergi SEA Bhd’s subsidiary, Cenergi RE Sdn Bhd.
Incorporated in 2013, Cenergi SEA, a subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, is the largest grid-connected palm oil mill effluent biogas power plants in the country.
Under the terms of the agreement, UIPS will provide maintenance services for Cenergi RE’s existing Jenbacher biogas engines installed at various locations in the country. This also includes the additional new Jenbacher to be installed.
All the Jenbacher engines that UIPS distributed are MyHijau certified which is compatible with Cenergi RE, which has secured the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) feed in tariff quotas.
