Cenergi appoints new group CEO - Cenergi SEA Berhad

KUALA LUMPUR (March 2): Cenergi SEA Sdn Bhd (Cenergi), a subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Bhd, has appointed Hairol Azizi Tajudin as its new group chief executive officer effective today.

Hairol, who replaces Ernest Navaratnam, brings over 25 years of experience in the energy industry.

In a statement today, Cenergi said Hairol was senior vice-president of the ventures and business transformation division at Malakoff Corporation Bhd and had earlier taken leadership roles as plant manager, head of engineering and head of department in the power, water and renewable energy sectors.

“We believe Hairol’s track record as well as his capabilities will further strengthen our presence in the market,” it said in a statement today.

Meanwhile Hairol, who holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronic and Systems Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, said Cenergi is strategically positioned to move into the next phase of growth.

“I look forward to working closely with our senior leadership team, along with Ahmad Jauhari as our executive director and our entire board of directors, to bring Cenergi to the next level,” he said.
