Khazanah Nasional Bhd (KNB)
As the strategic investment fund of the Malaysian government, Khazanah Nasional has been a shareholder since the beginning, when we were founded as a joint venture with Camco Clean Energy. As of 2015, they became the majority owner of Cenergi.
Green Lagoon Technology (GLT)
Founded in 2010, Green Lagoon Technology (GLT) are specialists in the development of renewable energy (wastewater biogas) plants, converting waste into power and profit. GLT is a one-stop solution centre for biogas harvesting, storage, treatment, and utilisation and carbon reduction monitoring. They enable palm oil mills to optimise their wastes to generate income whilst lowering their carbon footprint. GLT are our technical and financial partners, involved in the engineering of many of our biogas projects. They are also the co-investors in our Cheekah and Sawira biogas plants.
Sunseap Group is Singapore’s largest solar developer, with a portfolio of projects ranging from rooftop installations to floating photovoltaic (PV) systems. A pioneer in the movement to proliferate solar energy seeking to deliver affordable and sustainable solar solutions to the masses, Sunseap delivered Cambodia’s first utility-scale solar farm and built a 140 MWp solar farm in Rajasthan, India.
In 2017, Cenergi joined its expertise in renewable energy investment and development with Sunseap’s technical expertise in solar power generation. Through our joint venture, Cenergi Sunseap Energy Solutions Sdn Bhd (CSES), we provide companies and communities in Malaysia with an economically viable clean energy alternative.
Tanah Makmur Bhd (TMB)
Tanah Makmur is a conglomerate focusing on Palm Oil, Property Development, Renewable Energy and Mining with 45,000 acres of land. They own and operate palm oil mills and compost plants across Pahang, Malaysia and are pursuing the MSPO certification to ensure sustainability in their operations. Aspiring to create more value from their resources through diversification, Tanah Makmur forayed into Renewable Energy by partnering with us to develop and supply feedstock for our Sri Jelutung biogas plant, of which they are co-investors. Through our partnership, Tanah Makmur hopes to be the regional leader in Green Electricity development from palm oil mill effluent (POME) methane gas capturing.
Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA)
Formed under the Sustainable Energy Development Authority Act 2011 [Act 726], SEDA’s key role is to manage the implementation of the feed-in tariff (FiT) mechanism, which is designed to encourage and accelerate investment in renewable energy technologies. Our biogas plants are all beneficiaries of SEDA’s FiT programme.
